M 9/25- The Skeletal System" sheet ... Complete front side (matching bones and completing sentences about the layers of the bone), and read the back side.

Bonus available to 3° only- Read chapter 17-1 and 17-2 summaries (in Spanish), and answer questions.

T 9/26-Read summary, do the Review and Reinforce 17-1 ... 1. Read 17-1 Summary (English) 2. Do 17-1 Review and Reinforce Questions using the 17-1 Summary 3. Bonus: Answer "Guide for Reading" Questions from the 17-1 Summary. (Note: in class we corrected last night's homework, the "Skeletal System" Sheet)

M 9/18- Review notes & bones (Hint!!!) ... Review Film Notes (today) Know the scientific names of bones listed on Friday (HINT!)

T 9/19- Write the names of correct bones 2 times each; names of bones spelled incorrectly 3 times each; names of incorrect bones 5 times each.

W 9/20-

R 9/21-Draw Skeleton with 15-20 labels ... Draw a (stick) skeleton and label 15-20 bones using scientific names. 15 names = 75% or C 20 names = 100% or A additional names are worth extra credit provided that Mrs. Fischer is in a good mood and feels like counting

F 9/22- Finish Skeleton. Examining X-rays lab done in class. Students looked at X-rays and identify if statements are true or false. Was not collected at the end of the period because we will finish correcting it together in class.

M 9/11- Finish making poster (due Tue)... Finish Friday's "Broken Bone Healing" Poster with color Finish "Joint Classification Chart" (started in class after taking notes on the topic)

T 9/12- Costco Skeleton Lab ... Complete the Costco Skeleton Lab activity by following the directions on the worksheet.

W 9/13-Joint Classification Chart (worksheet) ... For the joints listed, identify the bones involved, the type of joint, and how the joint allows the bones to move. The crossword puzzle on the back is extra credit for 1/2 or more completed.

R 9/14-Catch up, lab safety papers... 1. If you're behind on any work, get caught up. 2. Review lab safety rules (hint!) 3. Bring lab safety rules and notes on lab safety presenations.

F 9/15- Last night to catch up!

M 9/4- continue HW from Friday, due tomorrow

T 9/5- Bone Surprise Quiz Corrections & Practice ... Copy the "to learn" bones 5 times each. Copy the "to practice" 3 times each. Copy the "correct" 2 times each. Do this on the quiz paper (use back if needed). Return on Wednesday.

W 9/6- Describe location of 8 bones ... In complete senteces, describe the location of eight (8) bones. Figure this should be once sentence per bone, example: "The femur is the upper leg bone, it connects the knee to the hip."

R 9/7- Story about Broken Bone ... On the same paper as last night, write a story abou someone breaking an arm bone. Tell how it happened, the broken bone and how it was fixed.
