  • Virtual Lab on Identifying Locations by their Climate and Topography (Note: this activity provided by our textbook publisher has some incorrect information, that's why I put it at the bottom of this list.  It's still interesting to see the different types of maps!)

Hello families with students in Mrs. Fischer's Science classes,

Grade reports were handed out in class listing the science assignments collected as of yesterday, in addition to the student's current grade in our class.  Please sign the Grade Report and have your student return it on Monday. The last two assignments listed (safety quiz and signature on the grade report) have not yet been collected therefore are blank for the score.  Many of the Science Resumes from students  in 5th period and 6th period are still being graded - if that assignment's grade shows up as blank, it means the work was turned in on time and will be graded soon.

All of the information from the Grade Report is available through the PIV.  If a grade report is ever lost, you can print out the science assignments from PIV, sign that and have your student submit the print out instead of the Grade Report that I handed out.

If there is a "Z" for an assignment, it means the work was not turned in (or maybe it was one of the "no name papers" which were handed back today).  Either way, the student may staple their finished yet ungraded work to the Grade Report and turn it in on Monday for late credit.    For this grade check only: assignments that earned lower than a C- (earned below 70%, and were not a quiz) students can make fixes or redo the work over the weekend, staple the work to the grade check and I'll regrade it as late credit.

Have a good weekend,

Mrs. Fischer

(P.S. if parents or guardians are out of town, the person in charge of the student may sign the grade report)

If you did not receive this email, please email me with your address and the period that your student is in and I'll be happy to add you onto the list for future emails.
