M 5/14- In Class: Went of Bikini Bottom Genetics #2, designed the traits for our plants, went over Rock, Paper, Scissors data tables, answered #3. Collected extra credit word search, collected Sun Screen label designs, handed out homework and had anywhere between 3 minutes and 10 minutes to start homework.
HW: Sponge Bob Genetics Quiz (open notes, open worksheets, can get help from others but NOT copying from others)
T 5/15- In class: Drew diagram of the plant we designed yesterday, returned genetics surprise quiz from last week, handed out Science O Rama certificates & kudos, Genetics Quiz #2,
HW: Create your own genetics quiz. It must have 3 questions, correctly using the terms "phenotype", "genotype", "Punnet Square", "homozygous and/or heterozygous", "hybrid and/or purebred", "dominant and/or recessive" and "probability". Use correct spelling, punctuation and grammar.
W 5/16- In class: Present ch. 2 and 3 workbook pages to the class.
HW: Trade and Grade another persons quiz based on the grading rubric. (if you were absent, you may grade your own quiz).
R 5/17-In class: Continue presentations of workbook pages. Hand out list of assignments for notebook check.
HW: Take the quiz created by another student, get notebook together. (if you were absent, you may take your own quiz) If there are errors in the quiz, rewrite the quiz on another sheet of paper and attach.
F 5/18-
Test on workbook pages (open notebooks), and Science-O-Rama presentations, and
Notebook Check! Look at the paper listing the items I will be looking for.
HW: Wear a hat and/or other sun protection (such as long sleeves, sun glasses, and/or sunblock-Especially if you will be in Disney Land).
